Proffesional manual and CNC operating Cold Gas Dynamic Spray CSM 270

CSM 270 professional low pressure cold spray system for industrial metal repair and functional coatings
CSM 270 – professional low pressure cold spray system for industrial repair, restoration and functional metal coatings.

Professional Solution for Industrial Repair

CSM 270 is a professional Low Pressure Cold Spray system developed for industrial metal repair, dimensional restoration, corrosion repair and functional coating applications.

The system uses compressed air or nitrogen to accelerate specially prepared metal powder particles through a heated high-velocity gas stream. The coating is formed primarily through kinetic impact without melting the deposited material.

CSM 270 provides a practical solution for workshops, maintenance companies, engine remanufacturers, research laboratories and industrial users who need to restore damaged metallic surfaces or create functional coatings.

Key Specifications

Power Supply: 230 V
Compressed Gas: Air or nitrogen
Operating Pressure: 6–8 bar
Required Dynamic Pressure: ≥5 bar
Typical Gas Consumption: approximately 400 L/min
Maximum Gas Temperature: approximately 600 °C
Powder Feed: configurable with one or two powder feeders
Process: Low Pressure Cold Spray
Installation: Compact workshop system

Repair Instead of Replace

Many industrial components are discarded because a relatively small surface area has been damaged by wear, corrosion or erosion.

CSM 270 allows material to be deposited locally onto the damaged area. After deposition, the restored surface can be machined to the required dimensions and geometry.

This makes Cold Spray particularly suitable for the repair of expensive components where replacement of the complete part would be unnecessary or costly.

Typical Applications

Engine Remanufacturing

Repair erosion and damaged surfaces on aluminium engine blocks, cylinder heads, liner areas and other engine components.

Dimensional Restoration

Restore worn shafts, bearing seats, mating surfaces and other components before final machining.

Corrosion Repair

Rebuild locally corroded aluminium and other metallic surfaces without exposing the complete component to high thermal loads.

Marine & Industrial Maintenance

Repair components affected by corrosion, erosion and mechanical wear.

Functional Coatings

Create conductive, protective and other functional metallic surfaces.

Research & Development

Develop and evaluate new powders, composite materials and Cold Spray deposition processes.

Compatible Powder Materials

CSM 270 can be used with specially prepared Low Pressure Cold Spray powders, including:

Aluminium (Al)
Zinc (Zn)
Copper (Cu)
Nickel (Ni)
Aluminium Oxide (Al₂O₃)
Metal/Ceramic Composite Powders
Custom Powder Blends

Powder composition, particle size and morphology are selected according to the substrate and required coating properties.

Equipment + Powder + Process

A successful Cold Spray application depends on more than the machine itself.

The substrate material, surface preparation, powder composition, particle size, gas temperature, pressure, powder feed rate, spraying distance and deposition strategy all influence the final result.

We supply not only CSM 270 equipment but also Cold Spray powders and process recommendations for specific applications.
